Lovely Day in Paradise

I love living here as it brings me down to earth. This morning I was greeted by my family as the sun rose and we hurried to get ready to go. The boy went to work out and I to work. When I arrived I was greeted by two handsome fellows....Sam and Duke. They must have been hot yesterday since they were both trying to get into the shade.

I am struggling to keep a promise and stay out of the auction house. Today's auction looks super. There's boxes from storage that have been unopened for ages. The owner was 80 yrs before his passing. It looks like it could be awesome. Lots of antiques and vintage items. My eye was drawn towards the fenton. I really like the little basket. They are very breakable though. I was talking to a 93 yr old woman the other day, and she has a similar piece which broke from washing with cold water.
The pitcher is also very cute and would like nice with my current collection. I don't have these pieces yet. the pitcher is currently selling on ebay for around $25 and the basket's market price right now starts around $45.00. Temptation is killing me!!!

That's it, I have to go to the auction. I am going to see what happens with the Fenton pieces. Maybe I won't buy anything at all (right lol). Hmm..I'll just spend $50.00. Oh, my...........the Fenton pieces went for $17.50 each which I felt was too high.

The kid zeroed in on a boy scout collection and got a brand new 27 year old pocket knife, 3 neckerchief ties, collapsible cups, and the like. He managed to spend more money at this auction than I did. Personally, I was outbid on almost everything I desired other than some linen fancy work, and a Harley Davidson earring and necklace set. Also, I bought a whole table of crap for $1.00 and ended up with 12 pepsi cola glasses, an Avon aqua colored jar, some crystal, a half a cup of coffee coffee cup (hilarious), some sewing essentials etc.
