Thimbles again!

Just so the thimble goes, that's a good thing. I loved the leather thimble until it wore out. I made it 3/4 of the way through hugs and kisses when I started getting stabbed when the needle was overloaded.

I have since bought a silicon model with a small metal top. It seems to be going fairly well so far.

If you had to choose, which kind of thimble would you recommend? Just wondering...

Hugs and kisses

The hand made quilt was machine stitched and hand quilted for Camilla. It turned out pretty with quilted hearts and leaves. This used the disappearing 4 patch from the blog named Tin Whistle. The complete directions are written up, and there is pictures as well. From start to finish, the design was relatively easy except the hand quilting which was painstaking consuming at least 60 hours. The design for the quilting came from the book 501 Quilting Motifs from quiltmaker magazine. I bought it online from shop martingale because they had both a hard copy and digital file as a package deal. The digital file was used to pick the design, and the hard copy to make a template. I used card stock to draw the design and use for the quilt with a purple vanishing pen. All and all the recipient is very pleased with the heirloom for her little girl.

It turned out pretty good and the recipients loved it. It gets used every day for tummy time!
